It is well known that about 16% of cancers worldwide are caused by infections. Many of these infections are well-known viruses such as human papilloma virus (HPV), hepatitis viruses, and Epstein-Barr virus. In addition, bacteria such as Helicobacter pylori are known to cause cancer. Dental infections, particularly those related to root canal-treated teeth and chronic gum disease, represent another important cancer-causing infectious source.
We believe that most persons with cancer should be evaluated by a type of dentist trained to detect and evaluate occult cancer-causing infections. Once detected these dental infections need to be properly treated and eliminated by a trained dental expert called a “biological dentist.” These dental specialists are also trained to properly remove mercury amalgam fillings and replace those fillings with less toxic substitutes.
The best way to locate a biological dentist is by contacting one of these two organizations:

- International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine at iabdm.org
